13 countries had a rise in new cases, while 9 had a decrease.

8 countries had a rise in new deaths, while 10 had a decrease, and 9 remained stable.

As a result of slightly revising the nature and form of the map infographics that are presented each day, the population loss and infection maps have been ommitted for May 2.

The new strategy is to shift between a combination of up to 3 different map infographics for each day, which will give room for new visualizations as well.
